Make Mother's Day unforgettable

(NC)-Mother's Day is a great opportunity to show your mom how much you love her. What better way than with breakfast in bed (and a clean kitchen!). The team at Canadian Tire has these tips for planning an unforgettable morning for mom.

Plan Ahead

. Decide what you are going to make ahead of time. Try to incorporate some of your mom's favourite foods or her favourite dish into your breakfast preparations.

. Buy all the ingredients at least a day ahead. Don't forget to count the whole family when you are deciding what you need.

. Deliver your breakfast masterpiece to your mom on a tray.

. Put a little something extra on her breakfast tray. Whether it's a card or flowers, this small gesture will make her feel extra special.

Wake Mom Up with Breakfast

. Start with her favourite drink. If she's a coffee lover, add some flavoured cream for a different taste. If she prefers orange juice, try freshly squeezed orange juice. This can be done by hand or with an electric juicer such as the Breville Juicer.

. If mom's favourite breakfast is bacon and eggs, add something a little extra this year by making homemade bread. Baking bread by hand can be time consuming so try the Black & Decker Breadmaker.

. If mom is more of a pancake and waffles person, jazz up her breakfast by adding in her favourite fresh fruits.

Clean Up!

. Cooking breakfast should only be half the gift. Give mom an extra surprise by cleaning up. This will allow her to continue relaxing all day long.
