Please join in on our special birthday celebration for: {child's name} - {birthdate} {If you will have food served other than cake, you can add that here} Location: ___________ Date and Time: __________ Please RSVP by: __________ DECOR IDEA: *Lots of streamers in: Green and Blue to match partyware *Wall decorations & banner are available *Hang Ghosts over table of food, cake or present tables: Use 11" black balloons and a white plastic rectangular tablecover - Inflate a balloon. Cut the tablecover into 4 equal pieces. Drape the tablecover over the balloon, leaving the tied end of the balloon on top. Cut a small slit in the top of tablecover and push the tied end through. Mark and carefully cut out eye holes. Attach to the ceiling or hang from trees in the yard - where people would be having cake and over the present table, with curling ribbon. Your ghosts will come to life as the wind moves them as people walk by. ACTIVITY IDEAS: *TREASURE CHEST PINATA - Fill this fun mystery treasure chest with candies or small toys for the children to have fun with! *SCOOBY TREASURE HUNT- use the guidelines of a treasure hunt. Break them up into 3 or 4 groups (depending on age) and put an adult to help each. Give each group a simple hand drawn map of your yard with an "x", when they get to the "x", they will find another message or map- send each group to different parts of the yard. After about 3 maps or secret messages - have the final map for all groups lead to the same place, where a box will be with their prize. Depending on age will make a difference as to what type of small token they receive. I can help you more with this if you would like to give me your children's ages. *DOG BONE DROP- Have child stand over a jar with a somewhat small opening (depending on child's age). Give each child 5 dog biscuits shaped like bones and see how many they can put in the jar by dropping them as they stand straight up *SCOOBY SNACK TOSS- Centerpiece Party Game Item# 820474 - Toss the scooby snacks into Scooby's mouth. *FRISBEE - all dogs and kids love to toss balls or frisbee's. (older children- frisbees - younger children - balls). MUSIC: Prerecord some sounds from a scooby doo show along with the theme music - Play it in the background during the games! FOOD: *PIZZA/SUBS - Scooby and Shaggy were usually seen with pizza and subs. It's even fun as an activity to let the kids make their own personal sized pizzas. *DOG BONE SHAPED COOKIES- Make cookies shaped like dog biscuits- for the kids, they'll love it!! *CAKE - most local grocers bakeries make a scooby cake. Also unique they make photo cakes - they look great and are inexpensive. You can choose the photo of your choice (for example your child with their dog) - the bakery will blow up the photo and decorate around it on the cake- they look wonderful! For a halloween party - add a witches hat or a black mask over your child's and dog's eyes, for the photo and even over scooby's eyes for a scooby halloween party (the bakery can draw this with black icing).
