Mushroomhead is from Cleveland, Ohio. All of the members are from different bands that they were active parts in before Mushroomhead. One band of these to note is Hatrix. Mushroomhead was just a side project and noone expected it to explode as it did. It ruled the underground as they made their own CDs by themselves. That was 1992-1993 for the record. The current Mushroomhead team is Jeffrey Nothing, Waylon, Bronson, Gravy, Pig Benis, Skinny, D.J Stitch, and Shmotz.

Heavy metal music got popular and Slipknot broke through. Slipknot had came together in 1996, 4 years after Mushroomhead, but they had very similar outfits to Mushroomhead. When Mushroomhead broke through with Universal and their CD, XX, they looked like copiers of Slipknot. A gigantic debate, cough.. fight, broke open between the fans of the two bands. Slipknot was pelted with batteries as they tried to perform in Cleveland. Not that I'm complaining. J Mann(the band's ex-lead vocalist) had nothing but nice things to say about Slipknot at the time. It seemed Correy(the faggot lead singer of Slipknot) didn't when he spoke to Rock Magazine...

There is like no problem between the two bands though and I think Slipknot is a good band. There have been rumors of feuds between the two camps as our fans and theirs don't really get along but its just stupid and we wanna put an end to it. When Slipknot rolled through town here Corey from Slipknot actually called our voice mail and had nothing but kind words for us and said he'd like to talk with us as there has been a lot of talk about a feud that isn't coming from our side or his. Mushroomhead is doing great and they are way fucking better than Slipknot, and a lot less whinier at that.

Towards the end of 2004, Mushroomhead hit a road block...J Mann quit...Although you would think this would devastate Mushroomhead, they recovered and got a new lead singer, Waylon, rather quickly. Their new dvd is coming out soon. Their new cd is also on the way. We wait in anticipation for their new kick ass cd.
