When T-Bag first started John was still very young (7 or 8 Years Old) and we see him grow up as the series went on.
John did have previous acting experience in Breakout, a Children's Film Foundation film. John Hasler is the most prolific cast member of T-Bag outlasting Elizabeth Estensen, Georgina Hale, Jennie Stallwood and everyone else.
Being in every series of T-Bag when it ended he went on to appear in various other children’s TV programmes including Renford Rejects (Nickelodeon) and Harry’s Mad.
In recent years John has had cameo appearances in programmes such as casualty but has mainly being in theatre recently in The Railway Children on a national tour but previously been in Macbeth for the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) Barbican.
As well as TV, Film and theatre work John has done a large amount of Voice and Radio work. John’s Voice work includes the German film Globi (as the voice of Benji), The Kingfisher Taylor (as the voice of Coffee Sewell) and The Legends Of Treasure Island (as the voice of Jim Hawkins). The many Radio programmes include With A Little Help From My Friends, A Fairly Secret Agent and others. John Hasler’s voice has also featured in many commercials including LWT, BBC and Tango. In October 2003 John also filmed a commercial for Roots Coffee in Japan alongside Ewan McGregor.
In recent years John has been a voice over in many commercials including Vodaphone Live, phone ringtones, Love Matters (ITV programme trailer), Crash Bandicoot 3 advert for Electronics Boutique, Natwest Student accounts, Great Hertz, Christian Aid week and a TV Licensing advert.
On Saturday August 27th 2005 John married Shareena Harnett in Bideford's St. Mary's church. They had a champagne and cream tea reception - I'm sure T. Bag would have wanted the cream tea instead of the champagne!
