U.S. Federal Route 60 is one of the shortest U.S. highways in the State of Illinois. This only runs in Alexander County. It crosses the Ohio River, from Kentucky, into a stop-light then heads southwest across another bridge, into Missouri. U.S. Rt. 60 does not pass thorugh any towns in Alexander County.
