La Salle County Highway 44 runs north-south through much of Central and Extreme Southern La Salle County. The original section of LSCH 44 runs from Lowell, south to IL St Rt 18. A newer sections runs along the old alignment of, now decomisioned, IL St Rt 179. This is from IL St Rt 18 to Dana, then west to IL St Rt 251. LSCH 44 passes through the the following towns.
