The Ultimate Guide to Family Values:
A Grand Unified Theory of Ethics and Morality

..................

The debut release by John E. LaMuth - The Ultimate Guide to Family Values: A Grand Unified Theory of Ethics and Morality - was originally released in 1999 in a 6" X 9" (cloth-bound) hard-cover edition. With the subsequent demand for the author's more recent titles, this hard-cover edition has since gone out-of-print. While well received at the time, this initial work remained somewhat limited in scope due to its exclusive focus on the virtues, values, and ideals. When the opportunity recently arose to reissue this original hard-cover edition in a soft-cover format, the prospects for adding additional (more recent) material relating to the virtues proved particularly inviting, culminating in the current - deluxe - edition (by the same name). The first 10 chapters are basically a reissue of the original work, formally examining the traditional groupings of virtues and values. This primary source material was further enhanced through the addition of numerous illustrations, an aspect was previously downplayed in the original hardcover edition.

Chapters 11 to 15, in turn, introduce a more updated class of material, partially derived from several recent books by the author - including applications to Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence. When these additional categories of virtue are further added to the preliminary master format, the overall scope of inquiry expands to a grand total of 260 individual terms! The current deluxe edition enjoys the obvious advantages of spotlighting this newly updated material while simultaneously preserving much of the original (hardcover) content. Both editions share a common focus exclusively within the virtuous realm, a treatment particularly well suited to the younger generation, as well as those that prefer a more uplifting approach unencumbered by the distractions associated with the darker realm of the vices. In final analysis, this deluxe edition is competitively list-priced at $12.95 (in direct contrast to the original $19.95 price of the hard-cover edition): a welcome reduction in price particularly in light of the five additional chapters.
