This is the number of sites and users worldwide. The number has increased, and in 2000, the number of users is 250 millions. In Japan, we feel that Internet spreads, but in fact, the number of the Internet users is not more than 5% of the population of the world. Why is this? Please look at this.

This is number online. The number of online in the United States, Canada, China, Europe, Korea, and Japan is large. Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Middle America, and South America, the number is small. There is a great difference. In the advanced nations, the Internet spreads, but in the developing nations, it doesn’t yet. This is the digital divide on a worldwide level. There is inequality of information. So, I think that we should solve digital divide.
