Interstate 694 was a proposed expressway to run from Interstate 94, near 103rd Street to Lake Shore Drive, near 57th Street. It was to start at the Bishop Louis Henry Ford Freeway (Interstate 94) and head north through the Stony Island Blvd. Corridor to Lake Shore Drive. This would have joined up with the, one time, proposed Interstate 494.
Portions of I-694 were constructed in Chicago. The most notible spot is the Stony Island Ramps on the Bishop Louis Henry Ford Freeway (I-94) at Stony Island Blvd, and 103rd Street. Here there is a huge stack interchange, and non-used C/D lanes. Further up Stony Island Blvd, this has one of the few on and off points from the Chicago Skyway Toll Bridge.
