Favorite Christmas Stories
If you would like to have your favorite christmas memory added here, just send it to me and I'll be happy to add it.
Here's my favorite Christmas memory:
It was the first year both my boys were old
enough to enjoy Christmas. I worked really
hard that year to put up lots of lights and
bright colors. Their eyes would sparkle! I
tried to buy all the right gifts (age wise).
Finally Chistmas morning was here! Took them
in & gave them their gifts & paper started flying.
Soon all the toys I have so carefully bought
laid on the floor & the boys were having a
wonderful time playing with the boxes.
My boys are teenagers now, but I still have to
laugh when I look at the pictures of Christmas'
past & wouldn't trade the memories for anything.

When my daughter was about 9 years old, she saw a large doll in a store on Frankford Ave. in Philly which she said she wanted for Christmas. The doll would sing little songs upon insertion small round disks into a slot in the back. When she was at school one day, I drove up to Philly and bought it for her for Christmas. She was thrilled to get the doll on Christmas day and we promptly put one of the disks in the doll's back to hear a song - out comes this deep male voice, singing in German! Not exactly what we expected, but we got a huge laugh out of it. Over time, my daughter learned the song and would try to sing it out like a man in a deep voice. She is now a senior at Rutgers University and we still get a big laugh over that doll.

My fav story is kind of a sad one, but it
contains the true meaning of love!
Christmas of 1989, was not a typical
christmas at my house.
My husband had left me and 2 children for a
life of booze and women earlier in the summer.
Christmas was coming and I dreaded it! There
was no money to buy gifts for my children,
ages 10 and 12. All I was able to get them was
a blanket each with a favorite character on it.
That was the only 2 things under the tree. But
christmas morning another gift had been added,
wrapped in notebook paper. Inside was a picture
of a hand drawn panda bear by my 10 yr old
daughter. With the words "Merry Christmas Mom"
I Love YOU! That Present meant more to me then
anything that could have been bought at a store!
I knew then that the children realized I had
done my best for them and that what really
mattered was we had each other and all the love
in the world. Something money can't buy!
To this day I treasure that little bear picture
drawn with love. Christmas IS love!
