TEENA MARIE-LADY T
Lady Tee's second album on Motown, but this sees Teena showing her talent as a producer as she gets the co-producing spot, with Richard Rudolph being the main producer.
Highlights on this album are "BEHIND THE GROOVE" - a hard funk number with a slamming base line and electrifying vocals from Ms Marie. Next is the sultry ballad "NOW THAT I HAVE YOU", a beautiful love song with a very contemporary jazz feel to it and a heart rending vocal performance. Then, of course, the classic "ALADDIN'S LAMP" a timeless classic - the album is worth buying for this track alone. Written by the lady herself, soulful magic, inspired lyrics and production - a must have for any Lady Tee fan.
The album is a mix of funky dance tracks to magical ballads, all with that pure Teena feel.
