FRIENDS OF THE DORM

This guy gets a special classification. He was a former dorm member but has been ousted because well because he is Smitty. And also I guess because he no longer lives in the dorm. You can still click on his picture to connect to his web page.

She has got to be one of the youngest and cutest friends of the dorm. She cheers all of us up whenever we see her. She has her own special chair at our place. Shack can be relied upon to give her a sucker on each visit. And at one time or another we have all been labelled her best friend. She likes to play "boo" and hide and seek in the basement. She also visits every room, turns on and off light switches, jumps on all the beds and visits Wayne (our spider). Who is this amazing two year old? She is the daughter of Lane and Krista Curry. This picture shows her cheering on the Maroons in Carman with her bear Wallace.

These two teachers moved to Altona with their family in the summer of 2001. Their family includes, Kaneetah (above)and their two dogs Sarge and Sandy. Soon their will be another little Curry. Krista is due in August. We are all excited for them. We do apologize that we don't have a better picture of these two. We will have to work on it!

He bleeds MAROON! Enough said!

Does he have another name? Of course. We just can't remember it when we call his house. Anyways, this is Steve Unger. He is the trainer for the maroons and can often be seen walking to and from the rink. He also brought us by soup when we were sick. Big points!

Jeff and Marie have been out to visit twice. They are originally Krista and Graham's friends that they met playing baseball 4 years ago. They both teach in the city. Border Land School Division should start to recruit!

Katie has been one of my bestest friends since I started school. Unfortunately she hasn't been to the dorm YET? I happenned to come across this one digital picture of her. Not a very good pic of me but to get her on the web I will use it! This is for you Katie!

This is my good friend kathy and after her request to please be included on the dorm page. Here she is! She teaches in Japan and is an amazing girl! Wish you could all meet her. Hopefully I will see her soon. She is home from Japan this summer and still deciding where to live and work.

They have been out to visit many times but we have been slow in adding them to our friends page. Jana is Krista's cousin and Whitey is one of Shack's best buds. They are also the other couple that will be joining the dorm on our EUROPEAN ADVENTURE.

Second visit and we got a picture of them together. Looking good! These two are Krista and Graham's friends from way back. Mike can also be seen in the made for TV movie about Bobby Knight airing on TSN. His character is named something Chadlowe (a big eighties basketball star!) He even has a few lines he let us in on.

Ryan and Tracey are Graham and Krista's friends from Winnipeg. They drove out for a big hockey game and visited the dorm. Ryan is the goalie for the Portage Pirates (yes the one who almost got kicked out of the game 8 minutes into it). Shack would like to mention that he scored on Ryan that night as well. Tracey is a student in Education. (hmmm maybe she'll want to teach in Altona?) They just got married a little while ago and Krista put on quite a show at the wedding. Can you believe it?

There was a small overlap when we were dorm members but now we are out and she is still there. Carla is working full time at Braun Drug as a pharmacist.

This is Angela's oldest Friend. We grew up across the street from each other and have been best buds ever since. Kara is a week older than me. She lives in Vancouver and she has visited the dorm! It was great to see you KARA!

These two win an award for the most distant dorm friends. Now the rest of you who check in, but haven't visited yet must ask yourself...if they can come all the way from England....why haven't you visited yet? There names by the way are Bal and Claire. They are two teachers that Shack worked with in London. They visited for a week and fit right in. Actually, Bal replaced Smitty on a few occasions and he might have even been more fun. We only wish they could visit more often.

We'd like to introduce you to K-Dogg's little brother and sister. They stopped by the dorm just this past weekend. (March 17th) It was a wild Friday night as promised! We are sure that they will be back soon.

We didn't give him this name...in fact we think he gave it to himself. This is none other than Pilk's brother. He has been out from Portage on numerous occasions but we finally tracked him down for a picture.

Hard to believe that this young man is almost one year old. He has been out to visit quite often and we finally got some updated pictures!

Tony is EMPLOYED! He is now an EA at Parkside. Molding young children's minds. And by the way Tony, nice hammer pants. Oh, also worth mentioning, Tony has scored tonnes of play off goals. Way to go Tony.

I think we only see this guy at hockey games. If he is not cheering on his brother at Aces games he is escorting Maroon's girlfriends to the Maroons games.

Chad and Rita don't live at the dorm but they wished they did until they purchased their house in Halbstad. We are waiting to be called to help with the big move. Luckily they are promising food and a putting green come summer time. The dorm may just have found their summer retreat.

Tracey became associated with the dorm because she was the big skip of our oh so successful curling team. Jody coached the Maroons (need I say more?)

This crazy man is more affectionately known to the dorm as RICO!!! You may have spotted him out around Altona over spring break. He came for an extended visit much to Smitty's delight! What more can we say but..YOU ROCK RICO! Stop by again soon!

First of all we must mention that Travis has not actually been to the dorm but we have decided to make him an honorary member. It is a prestigious award that isn't handed out very often. He started Pilks on the guitar and now there is no turning back. The rest of the dorm hasn't figured out whether to thank him or kill him. We'll let you know!
