May Long at Lac De Mille LacThe dorm dispersed over May Long weekend. Unfortunately only we had a digital camera. Pilks and I were visiting my parent's camp just outside of Thunder Bay. When I say camp I mean "cottage" in Manitoban lingo. Anways, we stayed and fished and ate. Wow did we eat. Here are some highlights from the weekend.

The Camp
It began with my grandparents trailer and our camper. It has now expanded into a huge bay full of friends and family. Our trailer has been converted into a home away from home and it makes for a relaxing weekend away. |
The Fishing
What do you do at camp? A tonne of fishing. And we are not talking relaxing get up at noon and pack a lunch fishing. We are talking about up at six on the lake by 6:30. Here are some shots of the action and the walleye.

Pilk's Catch
He caught it all. Pike, Pikkrel (Walleye) and even Perch. These are just the few I got pictures of. The rest of course were much bigger! |
Filleting the Fish
When my dad cleans fish it seams easy. Atleast we thought it was until he left it up to Pilks and Chris. We almost missed dinner and I am sure they missed some bones!

The Food
In the afternoons after 5 hours of fishing, everyone returns for a shore lunch. Saturday is the big fish fry. 30+ people eatting fish, chips and salad. Sunday we were lucky enough to get an authentic italian luncheon complete with the best spaggetti you have ever tasted. The trick...salt and lots of it. Here are some shots of the action.

Relaxing
Other than fish and food we had good weather and we relaxed. It was a full house at camp. My sisters and their boyfriends were both there. Grandma visited and yes brought buttertarts and there were tonnes of people everywhere.
