My Tuba Page!!!ok, as many of you may or may not know, I am a tuba player. I have been since 1993. Occasionally I play a trombone in jazz band, but somehow I always end up coming back to my tuba.I like to think I'm pretty good at what I do, most others seem to think around the same too. I do own my own tuba, it's a full sized Yamaha 4 piston valved tuba, and I call it marvin, named after the notorious martian by the same name. Suprisingly, it took me over 5 years to think of a name for my tuba (not that good considering I've only owned it for 6 years). It has a few dents, and the tuning slides don't work as well as most would like, but it's mine and I like it just how it is. Anyway, I'm one of the tuba players in the Spirit of the West marching band at Montana State University - Bozeman. It's a great marching band that has gone from just another band, to possibly the top marching band in our conference.
