Launching of Te Hau o Te Aroha
During our last Tu Te Wehi Kaihoe Waka class on 7th - 9th Decemebr we received a brand new waka named
TE RAU O TE AROHA. These photos were taken at Tukorehe marae before the rain came and never left for the whole weekend. The class did a First Aid Certificate course on the Friday as well as the official launch on Sunday morning at Forest Lakes. The waka can seat a crew of 24 and managed to stay afloat. The waka that we will keep will be delivered at the end of the course.
