My Album Spotlight of the Month

KISS

Ok, since this is new, I'll explain it. You see the album of the month, and then you email me what you think of the album and I will post it on my website. Email me with the subject ALBUM OF THE MONTH.

I would have to say that this KISS album ranks among the Top 10 Greatest KISS albums. Now, this was the first album of the newly reunited KISS and proved that the majic was still there. I would have to say that the best songs are Psycho Circus, Into the Void, I Pledge Alligance to the State of Rock and Roll, We Are One, You Wanted the Best, Raise Your Glasses, Dreamin', and Journey of 1,000 Years. I recommend everyone buy the album because you won't be dissatisfied.'

I personally love the Psycho Circus album. I have waited a long time for KISS to put out a new album, and when I got it, I was pleased. I dont really see what all the negativity is than many fans feel towards it. I know Peter Criss didn't play on it, but as long as he can play live, that really matters most of all. The songs are good. Take for example "Raise Your Glasses". I like that song because it conveys to everyone not to give up, to keep striving for what you want. And today, that is a positive message instead of this other crap from bands that are out there now. "You Wanted The Best" is a good rock n roll song that claims "ya wanted us, ya got us".And Ace does a kick ass solo on that as well. I love that song. "We Are One" is a very good sentimental song. I have often heard other fans dis that song pretty bad b/c of the way Gene sings it, well, it is a whole lot better than his "World Without Heroes", and When You Wish Upon A Star" whiney tunes. I think it is a great fan-based song that claims the KISS Army is alive and well, and we are all equal no matter what. And "Psycho Circus", well, great tune. It is hard, it is out there and in your face. And finally, "I Finally Found My Way To You", I absolutely can not stand for anyone to say that is a stupid song. It is a GREAT Peter ballad. For someone who is not into ballads, or Peter's raspy voice, then dont listen to it, but if you like his kind of music, then you will really dig this ballad. I absolutely love it. It is heart-felt, touching, and Peter does a great job singing it.And with the other songs, it all wraps into one good album. So all in all, Psycho Circus is to me a great album. It has diversity, changes, and different rhythms to it. Ace does awesome solos, great vocals by Paul and the whole album is a good buy. I would suggest it. It isnt a 'Destroyer', or 'Love Gun' by no means, but all in all, it is still a good KISS album.
