Christmas Origami with Mrs. Mendez

Origami" is the art of paper folding. The Japanese word "ori" means to fold and "gami", a form of "kami", means paper. It is believed that paper folding originated about the 6th Century in China where paper was invented. It spread to Japan where paper was folded for religious ceremonies and where the first known written instructions were recorded. In Japan the art flourished and became the worldwide recreation that it is today.
