The Devils picked up where they left off last season, staggering on to the ice (We Haven't missed a beat). The other team, mostly comprised of 18-20 year olds (who still think that beer and girls are "yucky"), were pretty excited at the prospect of beating the famed champs. They were so excited that they brought along with them, one of their pals from history class garbed in one of Wal-Mart'sŪ finest 3-piece suits disquised as a coach. The young R.C.C.'s had all the speed, determination and smarts to beat us, but they forgot about one thing: our dependable/championship goalie, Matty. Thanks again, buddy. Cap'n Cliff was one penalty shy of getting a gamer, in a game he liked to refer to as "Back-On-The-Rock" Hockey. Shaner scored our only goal (let's all send him some fan mail). Anywhoo, one thing is for sure: we won 1-1. |
