Slipknot - My favorite band as of now... go pick up the "Welcome to Our NeighborHood" home video, it has awesome live shit. Without a doubt the most creative, innovative, and down right scariest band i've ever heard\seen. Check out their self-titled album, the whole entire cd kicks ass.
Korn - Yes, they are played out, but they are really good... they made most of today's modern rock scene, including Limp Bizkit. Without Korn, Fred Durst would still be living with his mom in Jacksonville tatooing penis's on his gay sailor buddies. They are without a doubt the greatest rock band of our time. Pick up "Issues" if you don't have it already, it's WAY better than Follow The Leader, the whole album is good. ( and yes, I LIKE the "Falling Away From Me" although Fred Durst directed it. It's probably my least favorite video though, it's so un-original with the concept. Any Korn video is better than nothing, but I think Korn should go back to strictly Live footage videos)
Cypress Hill - My favorite rap group... check out Black Sunday and Temples of Boom... the best old school gangsta rap. They had a concert with Deftones awhile back. They have a new one coming out soon called "Skull and Bones"with special appearances by Korn and Fear Factory.
(HED)pe - A great rap-metal band... WAY fuckin better than Limp Bizkit... they came out around the same time Limp Bizkit came out. Take note Fred, this is how true rap-metal should sound like... Their debut self-titled cd is great.
System Of a Down - A great band also... one of my favorites. As most of you know, these guys got fucked over big time by Fred Durst cause bodies of SOAD, Taproot, didn't feel like waiting 2 years for Fred to get them a fuckin record deal... so they went to SOAD's label, Velvet Hammer. Fred got pissed and took it out on the completely innocent SOAD, until later he realized he was an ass and resolved the problem.

Ok, i never felt this way in the beginning. I used to love Limp Bizkit... i bought 3 dollar bill the VERY first week it came out. Immediately i started to love Limp Bizkit, they easily became my favorite band at that time. After about half a year, Limp Bizkit was starting to get played HEAVILY. The video for "faith" was getting HEAVY rotation on MTV. First of all, i didn't understand why only "Faith" got heavy rotation... they made like 3 or 4 videos before that (counterfeit, stalemate, and pollution i think)... I thought "Faith" was just a joke and that they would never make a video for it. Anyway, I was starting to get pissed with people coming up to me in school telling me about how much they liked Limp Bizkit when they never even heard or have they're first cd. Girls that liked backstreet boys and n'sync liked them... i was confused by this. Then the almighty reason that completely turned me on Limp Bizkit was the release of Significant Other... what a piece of shit... i just wasted $15 on something that would equal a frisbee. The entire cd was horrible... i only listened to it once or twice before i had to throw it against the wall. There first cd was sooo good and then they follow it up with this piece of shit.
A 12 year old white kid from kansas could write a better rap than Fred Durst, his music has no emotion anymore. The poetry of "Break Stuff" amazed me... those lyrics could've be written in like 5 minutes. The only good song on Significant other that i actually enjoyed was that one song with Jon Davis in it... i forgot what it was called.
Another reason i hate Fred Durst was because how he treated his band mates. Wes Borland and Sam Rivers are totally awesome, extremely talented guitar and bass players, probably the only talented people in the whole band. It always seemed like Fred would get into fights with them... constantly. And how Fred acted like he IS Limp Bizkit, and he never gave the other band members any voice. It's like Limp Bizkit's whole success was a fluke... like just the sound was driving it all. Like they were playing just to make Fred happy.
Another thing is how people say Fred Durst is such a great guy... but i've read thousands upon thousands of stories about how Fred is a hot-tempered, self-centered, childish asshole. And what he did to System of A Down with the whole Taproot situation just blew my mind and convinced me that he is an asshole. And how he told the whole arena at Family Values that Taproot shirts were banned and if you were caught wearing one you would be kicked out. I also heard about a band that was friends with Limp Bizkit back in jacksonville that used to open for them gave Fred a demo tape of their band and Fred threw it away in front of the whole band and said he didn't have time for it. Now, if that doesn't prove that the guy is a dick, i have no clue what does...
These were MY opinions on Fred Durst... if you want to respond to any of them... do so. But please, don't take anything too seriously, we all have our likes and dis-likes. Just because you are an LB fan and i'm not anymore, doesn't mean you're stupider or dumber than me, i try not to make it that way as much as LB fans seem to. Please be logical.
