[ click here for details ] July 06, 2000 ROB ROCK UNLEASHES 'RAGE OF CREATION' Orlando, FL - After parting ways with longtime collaborator Chris Impellitteri earlier this year, vocalist ROB ROCK is gearing up for the unveiling of his highly anticipated first ever solo album, 'Rage Of Creation', set for July 26 via JVC/Victor in Japan. The track listing reads as follows: In The Beginning / The Sun Will Rise Again / One Way Out / Judgment Day / Streets Of Madness / Eagle / Beautiful Lady / All I Need / Media Machine / In The Night / Never Too Late / Forever. Produced and co-written by Rock's former Driver bandmate, guitarist Roy Z, whose recent credits include metal legends Bruce Dickinson and Rob Halford, 'Rage Of Creation' was a long time in the making: "I have talked about doing a solo album for a few years now and finally the timing seemed right and it all just came together", says Rock. "I think we have managed to put together a high quality melodic metal album that touches on a lot of different aspects musically. The songs are great and the performances are so real! You can feel the energy we had making this record and the love for the music shows. This is the best album I've ever recorded!" Here is what Chris Leibundgut have to say about Rob Rock's new album: "There are a few different flavors on Rage Of Creation ranging from Helloween/Maiden-type uptempo stuff to no frills melodic metal; there is also a really dark downtuned song that starts off in the Sepultura-vein and then goes thru a lot of changes; there is a great ballad and an awesome cover tune as well. Really a very well rounded album and the performances by Rob and Roy are totally amazing". Wait until you hear the 'new' Rob Rock - you will be blown away! Rock on! The most explosive heavy metal release of the year, Rob Rock new album "Rage of Creation" will be made available in the Philippines by Galaxy Records. June 27, 2000 Rob Rock has been working hard on some new songs and demos for the metal L.A. band called “Warrior”, an awesome classic metal band. Rob will be singing in the new “Warrior” album (no release date yet or title) and wrote the majority of the lyrics and melodies to the album. It's being recorded at Silver Cloud Studios, the same place where "Rage of Creation" was recorded. It's a bit heavier singing style, kind of like the M.A.R.S. Project : Driver. Joe Floyd, the founder and leader of Warrior, helped Roy Z and Rob Rock mix "Rage of Creation" in his studio. June 6, 2000 The Official Press Statement of Rob Rock about the Impellitteri situation: "In response to the rumors out there in cyberland, let it be known that Rob has always been ready, willing and able to tour with Impellitteri and carry on as the lead singer and co-songwriter for the group. However, after the completion of Rob's solo album, Chris Impellitteri has decided not to continue business as usual and gave Rob an ultimatum. Responding to this ultimatum, Rob has chosen to pursue his own career as a solo artist. Rob would have liked to do both Impellitteri and solo albums, but that option was not made available to him. This decision gives Rob the freedom to promote his highly acclaimed solo album which will be released worldwide this year. Rob also has the option now to do other outside projects that he may be interested in" The OFFICIAL release date for Rob Rock's solo album, "Rage of Creation" is JULY 26, 2000 in Japan on JVC/Victor Entertainment. Chet Thompson was a private student of Randy Rhoads himself. Randy Rhoads tribute album was put together by legendary producer Michael Wagener. Roy Z was a last minute fill-in for Ace Frehley from Kiss. Randy Rhoads was born on December 6, 1956 in Santa Monica, California and left us all to soon on March 20, 1982. His tragic death was the result of a private plane crash in Leesburg, Florida. Randy's first success came to be when he joined a L.A. band known as Quiet Riot. He recorded two Lps with this band, Quiet Riot and Quiet Riot II. In 1980, Randy Rhoads joined Ozzy Osbourne's band and recorded BLIZZARD OF OZZ and DIARY OF A MADMAN. January 21, 2000 "Crunch" will be release today (January 21, 2000) in Japan by JVC Victor Entertainment. Crunch album review is now available. It was however reported that Chris Impellitteri and Rob Rock aren't elated with the mix result of "Crunch" and Chris Impellitteri is considering a re-mix before releasing it to other territories like Europe. Rob Rock was quoted as saying, “The mix is O.K. but we know what is on tape, and what is on tape is killer”. [ click here for details ] There was a minor mistake in the lyrics of the song "Wasted Earth" from the album "Crunch". "in the year of our Lord 2033" is what it's supposed to be. The record company printed it wrong in the booklet but Rob Rock sing "2033" not 2023. December 1, 1999 The project "Blazing Metal: Blow the House down" will only be release in the Philippines. Impellitteri leads off the sonic frontal assault on our ears with their hard-driving and stomping song "Rat Race". Some other highlights include the band Axel Rudi Pell, Roy Z's Tribe of Gypsies, WASP, Edguy and more. The album title and cuts were chosen by The Rock-Impellitteri Advocacy (TRIAd). November 1, 1999 The Rock-Impellitteri Advocacy website was nominated in the 1999 Philippine Web Awards under the Music category and here's a note from Leo Mayormita of Galaxy Records dated October 5, 1999: "Finally we made it ! Big time. Nominated for 1999 Philippine Web Awards. Just to be nominated along with some of our big stars, well i can say that we already won. I'll promise that i will release the 2 remaining album of Impelliteri as soon as possible. Again thank you very much for all the help and support. Rock on! February 1, 1999 Impellitteri: Eye of the Hurricane is the first Impellitteri album released in the Philippines in 1998. Prior to the release of "Eye of the Hurricane" The Rock-Impellitteri Advocacy (TRIAd) through this representation wrote a letter to the management of Galaxy Records introducing Impellitteri and at the same time requesting that their album be release in the Philippines. TRIAd's with Rob Rock actually promoted Impellitteri through radio interviews here even before the release of the said album. It was during this promo that Rob Rock's voice was first heard over the island through radio interviews by DWXY- FM, live in the internet and Campus Radio FM. Galaxy Records and TRIAd put out different promos for the band where we gave away Impellitteri T-shirts, tapes, and CDs and "On and On" became an instant filipino favorites. Through the initiative of TRIAd this representation advertised the album in some newspapers in the Philippines and sponsored the 1998 Christmas Greeting's from Rob Rock on behalf of Impellitteri. "Dragon Attack"
was first released in the Philippines before "Eye of the Hurricane".
TRIAd and Galaxy records were planning to promote this album after the
successful promotion of "Eye of the Hurricane", but we didn't push through
with the plan due to some practical considerations. This album
features Chris Impellitteri and Edward Harris Roth in the cut
"I want it all". Dragon Attack is a Queen tribute
album and consists of many great guitarists like Yngwie Malmsteen, Ted
Nugent, Glen Hughes and more. Try checking out the Galaxy Records
catalog. [ Click here ] |
