OUR CASPIAN PONIES

In 1965, the Caspian Pony, was near extinction. Louis Ferouz rediscovered the ancient breed near the Caspian sea while searching for suitable childrens mounts while living in Tehran and Iran. Discovering that there were so few left, she went on a crusade to save the breed and exported hundreds of the best ponies to Europe, Australia and the USA. Today there are about 300 Caspians in the USA. The Caspian comes in a limited number of colors, Bay, Chestnut, and grey (ranging from Charcoal grey to White grey or dappled) The Caspian is a very graceful, showy pony. Their docile temperament makes them ideal as a childs mount. We will be breeding pure registered Caspains and Caspian crosses. We will cross with Welsh, Arabian, American Shetland and grade ponies.

STALLIONS: MCCs Sanjar and MCCs Bahram Kamal

"Sandy" is the bay on the left and "Melvin" is the dun on the right. Sanjar is approximately 12 hands tall while Melvin is about 10.2 hands. These are very personable stallions that adore my 12 yr old son. He grooms them and plays "hide and seek" with them in the barn and paddock area. They are very graceful and a joy to watch. I will be breeding each of them to a few mares this spring for some very nice registered Caspians and some out of this world crosses to shetland mares and welsh pony mares. Prices on the foals will start at $1,500 and they will be some awesome show pony prospects. These guys will also stand to a limited number of outside mares, Registered Caspian Mares: $1,000 lfg, Grade or other breed: $500 lfg.

MCCs Shirin

Wow! "Sher" has the prettiest head I ever saw on a horse. She is stunning. We are very lucky to have her with us. She is due to foal summer of 2006 Bred to Melvin. We are looking forward to a beautiful baby between them. If a colt, the foal will be for sale and will be registered with the ACHS.

MCCs Maksoos

"Suzie" is a very pretty mare with Chrome! She stands about 12 hands tall. She will be bred this year to Sanjar. She should produce a very nice foal by Sandy. I just cant get over how elegant these ponies are.
