My sleeping princess

Eyes shut gently, breathing softly,
Hands clasping your comfort, away from me.
Sunshine on your sleeve, grasping close to your body.
A rainbow in your smile, as you slumber.
Hair spreading like the wings of an angel
A halo sits awkwardly on your head,
Your body wrapped in the beauty the night brings.
My unique little snowflake, smiling as you sleep.
Pure as snow and as complete as me.
You’re content, and for a moment, so am I.
