Second album from rap-metallers. Entered American charts at Number 1
Having hit paydirt with their cover of George Michael's Faith, the onus is now on this quintet to prove they're more than one-hit wonders.
Initially, it doesn't look good, until the fifth track, when the summery, melodic, Eric B. & Rakim-sampling Re-Arranged appears, followed by the equally strong I'm Broke, with its anthemic chorus and intriguing scratchy arrangement. Nobody Like You's guest vocalists, Korn's Jonathan Davis and Stone Temple Pilot Scott Weiland, both leave their unmistakable mark, as does Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man on N 2 Gether Now.
Don't Go Off Wandering features a satisfyingly swinging chorus, but No Sex is a nice tune trapped in a dull arrangement, and from then on, the album drops back to merely average. The jury's still out.
