Cinematic Wonders

I'm very much of the belief that music is my forté and not cinema, as it is music that I have followed in greater depth and have come up with numerous theories about. I know there are lots of films I haven't seen and a few more that I haven't watched properly so I may not fully appreciate them. But I'd still argue that this list includes some corkers and has genuine depth and variety - therefore I proudly present my top 100 films ever!

Just in case you're interested, the 1930s and 50s each offer one entry, there are 7 from the 1960s, the 1970s throws up 14 efforts, the 1980s is the winner with 33 entries, the 90s manages 19 films and the first decade of this millennium has added 20. The 2010's has so far contributed five films to this list. It's interesting to note that the 80s is my favourite despite the fact that I was bought up in the 90s. I'd consider the 1980s to be the golden age of film - with so many classics that you can overlook the bad eggs - and I hope its brilliance is more widely acknowledged in the future!
