GIG NUMBER TWENTY-ONE
Who
But they were still far more interesting than Feeder, who provided little else but agreeable moshpit practice. Yes, I tried to enjoy myself but there's no denying that the ultimate mediocrity of the show meant I came away with no memories to relish. Due to the juvenile audience there never was too much of a crush, which was strange but I suppose a plus. The songs were samey and the singles didn't sound that great. I have no recollection whatsoever of anything they said or did now either, which is all I need to say really. However, I must admit Buck Rogers is an outstanding simple moshing song and it's a shame I didn't appreciate that until afterwards. But this was a non-gig and really just a waste of time.

Comments
After starting the year demonstrating such high standards, I lowered them to see another one of those overrated indie bands: the parallels with Idlewild are astonishing! Except this time there wasn't an excellent slot from someone like Brassy to make up for it, as support Mark B & Blade were entertaining and something different but ultimately their music never stood out, just their enthusiasm for it. It was sort of hip-hop stuff, not that I remember much now, and the crowd enjoyed it as much as I suppose it's possible to enjoy such music.
