I've got pins and needles for you
I've got pins and needles for you
You've got needles and pins
And the seven deadly sins
Still I've got a fire in my heart for you
I've a butterfly stomach for you
I've a butterfly stomach for you
And as the cars fly by
I just break down and cry
Still I've got a fire in my heart for you
Well the monkey puzzle tree
Has some questions
For the watchdogs of the profane
And I ask is it sad
That I'm driving myself mad
As this fire in my heart turns blue?
I've got a fire in my heart for you (X4)
Quote (1) (Gruff):
"I hate Eric Clapton singing a song about his son dying and making a million dollars out of it. I think that's sick - total lowest common denominator, sentimental crap and an insult to the boy. So I'm gonna start getting Bambi on people. Some of our songs are a bit Bambi-like; songs like Fire In My Heart, but that was written absolutely sincerely. It's sincere sentimental crap."
Quote (2) (Gruff):
"It's a really crazy product, really over the top and I wanted to call it Heartburn originally. We wanted it to be like a really simple country and western song. It is not about one person in particular, just various people chucked together to create an imaginary one. The end is just bonkers with everyone singing along."

Notes:
The promo video marked the band's first foray into CG. The lads, marooned on the moon, crooned away while waiting for a rescue ship manned by a couple of Pete Fowler monsters. A cast of a thousand aliens was employed for the finale. Watch out for the debut of one-eyed Pie who started life as a Pete Fowler sketch. He's the web character on the original superfurry.com.
