Nick McCarthy from Franz Ferdinand, who grew up in Bavaria, performs the German section in the middle, which was written by Alex Ragnew. Inaugural Trams is effectively the leading single from Dark Days/Light Years as it was given away as a free download from Superfurry.com and a "music video" of the band performing the song live has appeared on TV. The infranasal depression is the name given to the vertical groove in the upper lip.
