Aptnia

C.Ward/B.Morrell

The sun it burns my eyes like cigarettes

The sun reminds me why, then I forget

The sun it knows I'm going, follows me down

Want to reach into my shadow, cool off underground

When I want your help I'll ask for it

When I want your point of view I'll leave

When I want your influence I'll die for it

I'm afraid my heart will stop if I go to sleep

And I don't need this pain

And I hope you feel the same

Sending you love from the trenches, all too real ink mixed with sweat

Softly spoken...Insurrection

It's all I have left

I wrote this song in the summer of 99 in a minivan coming back from Canada. It was very hot. I had the lyrics sitting around for a while, until I found out that they fit with another song and chorus I wrote. Bryan wrote the "Softly spoken, Insurrection" part, and helped with the second verse. It's also one of our loudest songs, and we don't play it anymore. It doesn't have the same feel as our other songs.
