words and music by shed

ever since i was a little boy in this little town
i never thought that i would be the spark that would burn you down
i always did just what you asked me to, never cause a glare
so why should it be a big deal if i want to dye my hair?

i know that i can't be me, but do i have to be you? well, i refuse
explain so i can see what big bad rule did i abuse?
no time to understand or to be fair well; i don't care
no time time to take pride in your land, i have to save my hair

ever since He was a little boy, He was kind of strange
he was always did just what His Father said, and it was time for change
He told them all to come and leave their homes, because His gift was free
but they weren't ready to try something new; they nailed him to a tree

no time to take pride in this land, i have to save the hair

*this song is in no way critcizing the administrators that forbade Daniel Aguilar's dyed hair. we realize they were just doing their jobs. rather, this song targets america's overall bigotry against punks in general. we're not all druggies and thieves; lots of us are good kids, and some of us (shed included) are Christians. this song, in summary, is a channel for our outrage at the way america treats there youth
