news and show dates

4/21/00-Josh, Nate, and I just got back from Chattanooga where we saw Pawn Souls rip it up with self-titled, Forces of Nature, and Mad Hatter. I along with Brett from Blisstap sang with Pawn Souls on the song "Evil Time" and with self-titled on their rendition of "Sugar" from System of a Down so big thanks goes out to them for letting me shout in a mic for a while. On that note it seems we will be headed back to 'nooga this Friday to play a show at the Emporium with Mad Hatter and Open Blind. I will post directions on how to get there today or tommorrow on the shows page and I hope you all come out to see us rock.-brian6

4/19/00-Sorry for the lack of updates but i'm making up for it now with news from the past fifteen days of transmission 6's life. On April 29, we will play the rock for charity show with alternative corner and blisstap of chattanooga. Check out blisstap's website also in the "links" section. This show will be at beech high school and i will have directions posted on the site in case some of you don't know how to get there. In the meantime transmission 6 has been practicing like never before to bring you the best possible sounds. If you haven't seen us before get ready for an experience...if you have then you haven't seen anything yet. We are going to Chattanooga tommorrow to see Pawn Souls play a show, so if you happen to be there find us and say what up. I know i have been promising pictures and i will get those on the site asap, but i don't have time right at the moment. Other additions you may have noticed are the chat room(we will start having band chats soon...stay tuned) and the songwriter's webring. The webring has almost 500 band's sites and is a great place to find new music of any type so check it out. In the mean time we hope you can make it to Beech High School on April 29th at 7:00pm and see us kick ass. Hope to see you all beating each other in the pit- brian6

4/04/00-April 29th-Beech High School Transmission 6 will play first and we are hoping that double dick slick will play. On the lyrics page I wrote "retrospective" and posted it. We took "fall" off the songs list because "retrospective"'s music borrows from the song and "retrospective" is a better song.

3/27/00-Nate should almost be in China right now...he promised moose some Chinese !puerno! so of course we are anxiously awaiting his return...In transmission 6 news: We are on again for the charity event at Beech High School in H'ville, TN.It is scheduled for April 29th. If it is cancelled we WILL play regardless on that day(stay tuned to the site for details). We are trying to get our friends Double Dick Slick booked for the show so keep your fingers crossed on that one. Regardless, we will tear up the stage like a virgin on prom night...(that was a good analogy i like that one) As some of the regular viewers may have noticed i changed the name of the song "inside you" to "distant". Lyrically it changed a little also but i guess i am the only one who knows that part of it. I will post the lyrics as soon as I am completely satisfied with the song(probably this week) so stay tuned. Thats all thats going on for now so take it easy, kids.

3/23/00-Nothing much has happened in the past few days. Nate is going to China for a week leaving the rest of us to raise hell while he is gone. In the meantime, we wrote a new song with Moose called "inside you." I'll post the lyrics soon.

3/15/00-as some of you may already know we have added another guitar player to transmission 6. we have been talking to philip(moose)holt for some time now about playing guitar and a few days ago he accepted. you can find out more about moose on the band members page. in the meantime we may still play the beech show if we can fit it in the schedule. the show is set for April 15th now but we shall see if that stays the same.

3/9/00-transmission 6 has offically dropped out of the rock for charity show at beech high school. The date for the show is to be changed once again(for the 5th time) and we have decided to persue other opportunities to play. we wish the best of luck to alternative corner and potter's field. However, we are playing a show with lost kauz and the chattanooga band double dick slick in late April. Stay tuned to the website for more details....
