Music- Helmet, Soundgarden, Quicksand and Led Zeppelin. Recently, Ben has gotten into some dance music such as Crystal Method, Junky XL, and Death in Vegas.

Interesting facts:
Ben bought his first drum set for $75 from his neighbor across the street.
He breaks 16-18 drumsticks each gig!!! (now that’s what I call beatn’ the shit outa your drum set!!)
Ben used to wear braces.
Ben is a huge fan of girls, water sports, girls, hanging with his buds, girls, partying, and did I mention GIRLS!!!
He taught Chris how to play the bass.
He's an innie, as in bellybutton type
His nickname used to be "Short Elvis", because Ben was (and still is) the shortest of the 3 Silverchair guys and when he was younger, he liked Elvis Presley a lot, which also the name of his and Daniel's previous band to the Innocent Criminals.
Ben shaved his head after his hair got in the way of his drumming during a performance. However, when asked, he said it hadn't improved his drumming any
Ben used to take advanced math, but after the band started touring, he dropped the class.
English is his least favorite school subject

Daniel and Ben write some lyrics together. Both received the award for "Australian Songwriters of the Year" at the Apra Awards in Sydney.
