Emotion Pictures, a new longform video from silverchair, is available worldwide from the Llama Appreciation Society. You don't have to be an LAS member to get merchandise from the LAS site. The film follows the band through the creation of Neon Ballroom and the subsequent world tour. Emotion Pictures includes the videos for Emotion Sickness, Anthem For The Year 2000, Ana's Song (Open Fire), and Miss You Love, plus exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of silverchair in the studio and on tour. It also features live performances recorded in Europe and America.
Supplies of the special two-CD "Tour Edition" of Neon Ballroom are running out, so if you want a copy, now's the time to act! The set includes a multimedia CD version of Inside the Neon Ballroom, a behind the scenes video documentary about the making of the album, which has achieved gold status in the U.S., platinum in Canada and New Zealand, and double platinum in Australia.
News Briefs: Four silverchair songs -- Ana's Song (Open Fire), Miss You Love, Anthem For The Year 2000 and Emotion Sickness -- placed in the top 50 of Triple J's Hottest 100 of the year. Ana's Song was the highest of the lot at No. 15... silverchair's Anthem For The Year 2000 was used in its entirety when Fox Sports presented its preview show for the American football playoffs. Anthem played in the background as the network showed highlights from the football season. Miss You Love was featured on the season premiere of Fox TV's Party of Five and was used by British fashion designer Andrew Grooves in his latest show in London... Check out the photo special from silverchair's live appearance on Canada's Much Music... Also on their recent visit to Toronto, silverchair caught up with Serial Joe, the young Canadian rockers whom the 'chair befriended on the Edgefest tour. The two bands are now label mates in the U.S. as Epic has signed to release Serial Joe's music outside Canada. "They have silverchair, Korn, Rage Against The Machine, so they've got lots of good bands on their label," says lead vocalist and guitarist Ryan Dennis. "It was just natural for us to want to go with them." Serial Joe is recording new songs for the Epic version of their Face Down album, due in the first quarter of 2000... The 'chair were reunited with old friends the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Offspring during their tour of Europe. On their way home, the band stopped at MTV's Total Request Live for an in-studio appearance, and did interviews for Launch, MTV Online and a syndicated radio service.
