"We were stuck with this fucking vicious three-hour layover and our gate was four miles from the nearest place to have a cigarette, so we were walking back and forth in the Detroit airport and we must have done it five times and not got hassled once. All of the sudden, this security lady comes out of nowhere. And I'm sketched out. I've been up all night. I'm hungover. I haven't had any fucking sleep at all. I'm in vicious mode. She runs up to me and says, 'Turn that shirt inside out or take it off, there are kids here.' I didn't even say a fucking word. I just kept walking. And she's like, 'Did you hear me?' 'Do you speak English?' And I looked at her and said, 'Are you fucking racist? What kind of a question is that?' And she said, "Turn it inside out or take it off. There are kids here.' And I said, 'Yeah, kids that can't read the fucking thing in the first place.' And she was like, 'Well, there are women here too.' And I was like, 'Yeah, and they are probably laughing there fucking asses off about it. Chill out.' So my friend was like, 'Freedom of speech, lady! Freedom of speech!' And she's like, 'Not in a public place.' And I was like, 'Oh that's right... we have a layover in Germany!' So we go back to the gate and all of the sudden we see all these security people flying all over the place, just losing their fucking minds and we were sitting right there. I don't know how the fuck they missed us. Finally, they started calling our flight and they looked right at us and I just ripped open my jacket and went, 'Ha! Ha!' and ran on the plane. Long story short, don't hire morons to do fucking security. She was probably a detention monitor when she was younger but good God. Have a Cinnabon and calm the fuck down. Everyone in the world can kiss my ass because I'm going to wear my fucking T-shirt whether you like it or not."(March 24,2001)

The majority of the album is made up of songs that are among the hardest fastest stuff we've ever done. We also have made some breakthroughs (in our eyes) of making some trippy, yet beautiful mellow moments. I thought it was almost funny that some people were actually judging the music before they've even heard it. I'm sure our true 311 fans out there will always want us to keep innovating and moving into the future. I'm really excited for all of you to hear the new album. Thanks, as always....Nick"

Right now, we are mixing everything together and making sure that the good sounds that we have on tape are all working well together. It's always a learning experience in the studio, even with the amount of video games that we play. Ron is always ready to listen to whatever we have to say about the record and life, in both he's quite wise. Just know that we are in capable hands, and get ready for some of the best musick that we've made in years. thanks for reading, be good yall p-nut 2001 "

Rob Zombie's upcoming full length film directorial debut "House Of 1000 Corpses" will see some delays as the film will now not be released through Universal pictures as a result of the NC-17 rating it is expected to garner due to its content. As a result, Rob has managed to retain all rights to the film and is currently looking to find a new home for it. If all goes according to plan, it could land in theaters as early as later this year. Meanwhile, the chairman of Universal Pictures, Stacey Snider released a statement on the situation saying:
"We make a commitment to Rob to allow him full creative control over "House of 1000 Corpses." We were familiar with his prior work and find him immensely talented and versatile. The resulting film is a significant accomplishment for Rob, yet there us a visceral tone and intensity that we did not imagine from the printed page. We anticipate and NC-17 rating for the picture, which would unfortunately be at odds with our motion picture releasing strategy."
Rob also commented on the matter stating:
"I enjoyed working with Stacey and everyone at the studio. They were very supportive and allowed me to execute my complete vision and control over the film. Stacey and I sat down and talked and decided that the best move was for me to get the movie back and find a new home for it."(March 7,2001)
