[ ] yeah yeah i scream...
with you on my mind so heavy
and so hard
i don't know quite everything
you make me think of a better
thing
better things to fill my
day with
but they don't mean to go
please don't be too bad
with me, god
please don't be too good...
let some women's light,
women's light
chain my hands with me singing
hani hani, come and dance
for me
whoa, whoa, sooner there
hani hani, come and dance
for me
only the brave
hani hani, come and dance
for me
[feeling the night]
hani hani coem and dance
for me
lead me back home to life
you made heaven turn to dirt
and dirt turn to dance on
heaven come my way
baby surely do
maybe some moonlight
maybe some, baby surely
do
maybe some moonlight
say this say this...
hani hani, come and dance
for me
underneath the moonlight
hani hani come and dance
for me
hani hani, come and dance for me
come on, come on go
hani hani, come and dance
for me
give it back, give it back....
oh man, i can't talk
a man was tall and once
tore a piece of freedom for us all
when, then, you least expect
it
han can cut from of his
own heart
for us all, that man
don't believe it, oh yeah....
god, two men slice and dice
eachother up in his place
they don't believe it...
well leave it
leave it lying, leave it
lying, leave it lying
got me singing
hani hani, come and dance
for me
it's gracious of you
to hold your arms
throw your charms around
me
it's gracious of you
to lead me by the hand
i really love you
it's gracious of you
to be by my side, rolling
wild
reeling thunder
it's gracious of you
come again, come again to
me
and save me the need to
say goodbye
and why would i ask of you,
need to say goodbye
say it, say it, oh, i don't
know how to say this,
please, here leave me warm,
hollowed and open.
(yodeling.... ) one more....
(more yodeling)
and then leave, yeah.
it's gracious of you to
hold me while
i don't want to say goodbye,
yeah...
oh goodbye...... it's too
soon for me to
say goodbye, say goodbye
hey, it's warm here
say goodbye leave it cold
again, cold again.
say, say goodbye.
walking by the river's edge
reach my hands to cup the
sky
run down my arms a bitter
blue
turn to red and the gashes
grew
the river taste me
i'm so much more than I
have ever been
oh, oh, oh, oh
take this my arms
take this my eyes
take this my mouth
and god it seems to be
completely true
oh, oh, oh, oh...yeah
walking by the river's edge
reach my hands to cup the
sky
while on my arms a bitter
blue
turn to red and the grew
the river taste me
I'm so much more than I
have ever been
oh, oh, oh
hello, how are you doing
today
i hope i find you feeling
healthy
so glad our paths crossed
this time today
on our way into the night
i saying love treats us
well keeps us dancing
baby i love you well our
love is sure and fine
so why when i approach my
tears they fall like rain
you tell me baby your hearts
into a thousand pieces dies
stop only the old and wise,
with clouded eyes,
you can't see what i can
see
blindly throw my faith to
the face
of the next pretty girl
that comes my way
so here we are all of us
stand around
we're leaning heavy on each
other
but still we worry what
is it lies behind
staring eyes of one another
love i come to you you turn
me up turn me down
silly baby i love you so
it tears me up inside
love i come to you my tears
they fall like rain
you tell me baby your heart
into a thousand peices dashed
stop only the old and wise,
with clouded eyes
you can't see what i can
see
blindly throw my faith into
the face
of the next good thing that
comes my way
love running here celebrating
and relating
baby our love is pure our
love is pure and fine
so why, when i approach,
the tears they fall like rain
you tell me baby your into
a thousand peices dashed
love...
love...
love...
love...
a hungry boy
in a town of one hundred
more
the food is out the door
make me want to help myself
help my--
a river red
pouring from the side of
his head
a bullet through the brain
make him feel different
today
oh colder grow the days
oh much faster pass the
years by
'til we die
a treasure not my own
i take it, took it, nobody
will notice
well that suits me well
big house, big yard, help
myself, help myself
help myself
every once in a while
to help the helpless comes
into style
the mercy mercy mile
1-800-help myself help myself
help myself
oh colder grow the days
oh much faster pass the
years by
oh colder grow the days
oh much faster pass the
years by
'til we die
summers here we're swimming
in the river
summer rain burns holes
in flowers
dangerous hours
dangerous hours
dangerous hours
every now and then
tv preacher tell of heaven
redemption for a penny a
soul
1-800 help yourself help
yourself
help yourself
summer's here we're swimming
in the river
summer rain come down come
down come down come down yeah
summer's here we're dancing
in the daisies
summer rain burns holes
in flowers
dangerous hours
dangerous hours
dangerous hours
seven tumbling oceans surround
the ground that i dance upon
black and white and the
rainbow, five colors in my eyes
seven tumbling oceans surround
the ground that i dance upon
black and white and the
rainbow, five colors in my eyes
people, people
what are we doing here
oh, people
what have we done with things
people, people
what are we doing here
oh, people
what have we done with things
when we fight over the oceans?
when we fight over the skies,
and why?
when we fight over our borders?
then we, our brothers and
sisters deny
tell me why is it so cold in here
seven tumbling oceans surround
the ground that i dance upon
black and white and the
rainbow, five colors in my eyes
when we stand in the mother's
arms, no feeling of emptiness
when we stand in the mother's
hands, we can see that
when we fight over the oceans
when we fight over the skies,
and why
when we fight over our borders
then we, our brothers and
sisters deny
tell me why do we do it
why do we do it? oh, . .

sun will shine no matter
what i do
sun shines bright now with
you
what a wonderful thing for
you to do
moon shine bright reflections
in your eyes
a finer place he could not
find
winter's cold spring erases
and the calm away by the
storm is chasen
everything good needs replacing
hope all these changes happen
with you
in my life never before have
i lover so adored
her eyes her hair everything
she says
my delight can tickle me
inside
touch my heart touch my
mind
no matter what's inside i'll
give to her
no need to satisfy my hunger
lost in her
and while i spend these
hours
five senses reading
with biggest steps i'm running
after her i will run
winter's cold spring erases
and the calm away by the
storm is chasen
everything good needs replacing
hope all these changes happen
with you
sun will shine no matter
what i do
sun shines bright now with
you
touch my heart touch me
through
no matter what's inside i'll
give to her
no need to satisfy my hunger
lost in her
and while i spend these
hours
five senses reading
with biggest steps i'm running
after her i will run
after her
after her
after her
in the spotlight life is
so peachy yeah, yeah, yeah
wouldn't you like to retire
with a million
a million beating hearts
behind brick and cold steel
piping
fighting for the top
fighting for the room to
breathe
bench parks sleepers lie
cold blanket bedless babies
here this must stop
i cannot stay
damn you, big city, black
city
rising up around me, steal
my soul away
big city, black city
rise and take me over, steal
my soul away
but all out in this world
the night it crawls it falls
much harder than i recall
out in this world
a siren calls from every
corner
in the spotlight life is
so peachy, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
all of us in the spotlight
for a reason, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
caught for stealing somebody's
riches, no, no, no, no
wouldn't you like to retire
with a million bucks
yeah
came here from a small town
i see my dreams here in
the big city
sour dissapointment
i cannot stay
damn you, big city, black
city
rising up around me, steal
my soul away
big city, black city
rise and take me over, steal
my soul away
but all out in this world
the night it crawls it falls
much harder than i recall
out in this world
a siren calls from every
corner
in the spotlight life is
so peachy, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
all of us in the spotlight
for a reason, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
caught for stealing somebody's
riches, no, no, no, no
wouldn't you like to retire
with a million bucks
yeah
yeah....
yeah....

when you look into a mirror
do you like what's looking
at you
now that you've seen your
true reflections
what on earth are you gonna
do
find some inspiration
it's down deep inside of
you
amend your situation
your whole life is ahead
of you
your whole life is ahead
of you
remember the time you hung
out with the boys now
remember the things you
used to say
i thought by now you'd be
the president
but after all that was yesterday
you've had time to go out
in the world now
but you chose to run away
people ask you what your
doin' now
you don't even know what
to say
you think life is like a
movie
where it all works out in
the end
i think life is like a dessert
where does it go where does
it begin
when you look into a mirror
do you like what's looking
at you
now that you've seen your
true reflections
what on earth are you gonna
do
find some inspiration
it's down deep inside of
you
Little Things: Background- Dave told this story about a girl he asked for directions from in New York while doing Crash. He asked her whatever he asked her and she said whatever she said. Just as he was getting away, he realized, ohhhh she was sooo fine (to put it in his words). She wasn't fine like skinny and tall, she was fine because she had small lips, small mouth, and big eyes.
Oh, hello and goodbye
so fast it's gone
I can't get your face from
my mind
can't get your eyes from
my
can't stop your voices
on that day you told me
directions to where I don't know now
it all flew by me
so all I can do is hope
that you
come my way
oh and you're nowhere near
me
and wait
that you'll be there and
hope that
with luck, I'll see you
again
Oh I didn't get your name
nor you mine
or the time of day
but you're stuck on me like
a fly on a table
oh I'm waiting here where
we stood for just a moment
and you stole my way
and I, and I wonder will
I see you again
and way, way
without the smile, the smile
that blows away
the wait is too long
I want this thing to go
on
and there's no way that
I might find you again
I must walk a while (?)
I'm all released by mine
(?)
bump into each other
it seems so right
and say hey
aren't you the
weren't you the
don't you think
but I don't think it's going
to happen that way
I fear you'll remain a dream
rain, rain on me, yeah,
yeah, yeah
your life is burned
your life burned into me
it didn't (?)
will I ever
yeah God
oh here I am
down on my knees
at you I'm staring
oh, and God
I've got a prayer
and I prayed aloud
but you can't hear
oh, and why would you
oh, forgiving one
oh, and all good
from far beyond
oh, little girl
with cancer eating
steal her young soul
when mine is bleeding
but the thing is done
the girl yellow and weeping
it's no fun
and now its steep God, steep
God
but you know
your time is gone
and my faith is done
and the deed is done
and the girl is gone
and the deed is done
and the girl is gone
and the deed is done
up from the ashes of man's
hate
come so happy
lead it away
yeah from the ashes
of man's disgrace
come my soul happy
lead it away
well you may find your religion
you may find your passion
but it's done
the little girl is gone
well explain your religion
you can explain your passion
but God
oh, my girl is gone
stolen from
oh yeah
yeah
-One of my favorites, very powerful.
-Mark Berger
I have no idea what this song is about, nor can I understand the lyrics too well so bear with me, there are many mistakes. Dave has the tendency to mumble especially when he's making up the lyrics has he goes along. The song is kind of similiar to Pay For What You Get. Also, Dave never played this one the same twice.
my head won't leave me crying
and I lay this one
she won't give me happy
as I lie here alone
my own will give you baby
lie (?)
call again
let me be the number
you lead me away again
it was anything I need to
find my way through this
sand (?)
my baby lead my head away
and calling by my head (?)
boy
when you away we go (?)
sending me crawling (calling?)
back over
and crawl (call?) back to
say
my head, my head won't rely
on the troubles today
and my leave my head in
worry
like the summer rolls (?)
my own won't leave me happy
don't make me give it back
and on we go
and have you called me there
way before
and I leave this song in
you (?)
feeling colder
than I ever have
she won't be my lady
and some of you fall
and I give you happy
fools you know (?)
my mind is wide and away
and for well it's gone
and only leave me happy
you wouldn't make me fall
and when we call
maybe baby say
and you call
I don't know again
say too much...
This song is very mellow and weird. One of my favorites. It's not much for lyrics, oh well, good song anyway.
don't burn the pig
throw it in the water again
see if it float or sinking
don't burn the pig
I heard somewhere that they only played this song once.
say man she walked in my
head
oh mountain change my way
oh walking would have been
faster
the mountains got in the
way
a lot of snow today
and William yeah (some guy
Dave knows in the crowd or something)
bring my head water i wanna
change in your own
that way got me tired again
drive two miles an hour
down a mountain trail
can't go any faster
gonna lose my way
yeah can't go any faster
gonna lose my way
oh and right on the mountain
it's snowing today
gonna be late if we don't
find our way
oh my son
oh her son
hey
everyone knows this classic Led Zeppelin song. Dave plays a good version of it.
remembering a summer's day
only find it slips away,
to grey
the hours they bring me
pain
thinking how it used to be
does she still remember
the times like these
to think of us again
and I do...
chorus:
tangerine, tangerine
living reflection from a
dream
i was her love, she was
my queen
and now a thousand years
between
One of Dave's (and my) favorite songs written by the legendary Bob Marley.
oh, pirates yes they rob
I
sold i to the merchant ships
minutes after they took
i
from the bottomless pit
but my hand was made strong
by the hand of the almighty
we fought in this generation
triumphantly
chorus:
so won't you help to sing
these songs of freedom
'cause all i ever had
was redemption songs
emancipate yourselves from
mental slavery
none but ourselves can free
our mind
have no fear for atomic
energy
'cos none of them can stop
the time
how long shall they kill
our prophets
while we stand aside and
look
some say it's just a part
of it
we've got to fulfill the
book (chorus)
A cool cover of the Paul Simon song.
Mama pyjama rolled outta
bed, she ran to the police station
When the cop found out,
he began to shout, he started the
investigation
