Ozzy in 1970.

John Michael Osbourne was born to John Thomas Osbourne and his wife Lillian on December 3 1948.
He was born into a poor family in Birmingham, England. His family was so poor that he had to quit school
at the age of 15 to get a job. During grammar school John got the nickname "Ozzy" from his friends.
As a child Ozzy admired The Beatles and the way they always controled the crowd
So Ozzy decided he wanted to be just like them. He joined several bands but none of them went anywhere.
Eventually Ozzy was teamed up with Anthony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and William Ward. Their band was called, "Earth".

Geezer saw a movie called, "Black Sabbath" and he talked about it with the other members and it was decided that would be
their new band name. Black Sabbath didn't get much recognition at first. Their first manager was Jim Simpson.
On Friday the 13th, 1970 Black Sabbath's first album was released. It was called "Black Sabbath".

October of 1970 Black Sabbath released their second album titled "Paranoid". It made number 1 status in the US and UK.
Over the next several years Ozzy Osbourne would continue to jam with the band that started what is known as "Heavy Metal".
In 1978 Ozzy was fired for heavy use of drugs. His last album with the band was "Never Say Die!".
Little did Ozzy know but this was only the beginning of his career.

Ozzy struggled through his life for the next several years because of being fired from Black Sabbath.
He finally decided to go solo and debuted his career with the album, "Blizzard of Ozz". Over the years Ozzy has
released many albums and started many new things. One of them was the habit of biting bat's head off and spitting them into
the crowds during concerts in during the 80s. He also bit other animal's heads off during these years. In 1996 he started what is
known as Ozzfest. Ozzfest is where around 30 bands including Ozzy go on tour together. Each performance lasts almost one entire day.
