Metallica is the best hard rock band in the world. That's my opinion somehow. Metallica is; James Alan Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Lee Hammett and Jason Curtis Newsted. Present members are; Clifford Lee Burton (RIP), Dave Mustaine, Ron McGovney, Lloyd Grant and Damien Phillips. Clifford died in a bus accident in Sweden, September, '86. After his death, Metallica released a tribute video for him, that they called "Cliff 'em all". Metallica were making a lot of records in the 80s. In all they made 5 from '83 to '89.
But in '87-'88, they almost stopped playing, 'cause the songs from 'Justice didn't work live. If they had made another album like 'Justice, they would have been done. So therefore it was a relief that they made such a album like "Metallica" in 1991. It was sold over 15 million copies of "Metallica" the first couple of years after.
In all Metallica have released 10 albums, if you don't count some live CD's. Some of their albums have been released in gold. (Ride the lightning, Master of puppets and "Metallica") Ride the lightning is the rarest of them, 'cause it has a thin layer of gold inside.
James is married to Fransesca. They have two kids. Lars is married to Skylar Satinstein. They have a son together. Kirk is married to Lani. Jason is divorced.
A case that are very fresh today is that Metallica have sued Napster. Napster is yet closed, and are sued for 48 billion dollars or something like that. Something funny about that is that the founder of Napster were actually searching for Metallica music, 'cause it's his favourite band...

My collection isn't that big, but I try to make it bigger. I started to listen on Metallica's music in '93, and I got my first album in '94. It lasted over 2 years before I got my second album. I was only 11 years then, and the internet wasn't developed that much, so I couldn't by CD's on the net.
