Courtney's private meeting with Survivor

Frankie and the rest of the band had noticed my two little girls setting in front of the stage. Several times during the show one of the guys would smile or wave to them. My wife and I were thrilled that this was happening. Then totally to our surprise, Frankie hopped off the stage in front of Courtney's seat. It was in the middle of a song and he handed her his pick and she was playing his guitar. Then he let her keep the pick when he went back on stage. This was such a neat thing and everyone around us was blown away like we were.

The band played 3-4 more songs and left the stage to a huge applause. We set at our table talking with everyone about how great that was. The tickets we had purchased allowed us to go back to where the band sat at a table and met fans and signed autographs. As the line started forming I told my wife that we should get near the end of the line so maybe we could get a good picture without a crowd of people being behind us. Then a man came through the line, I believe he was the tour manager, and walked directly up to me and said "Frankie wants you guys to come back." I said something like "huh?" Then I saw Frankie standing beside the stage waving for us to come with him.

When we got thru the people to where he was, he leaned down to Courtney and asked what her name was. Then he held her hand and led her backstage as we followed. We went past the area where they were going to sign autographs, into a room where they were cooling off etc. Frankie said "this is the little girl that played my guitar." Then my wife had Courtney show the band that she knew all their names. She named each one without hesitation. Then Marc came to Haley and wanted to hold her, but she was playing shy, so he started playing with her acting like he was getting her nose. Then Marc picked Courtney up and talked to her. My wife had her camera and someone said lets take some pictures. She took a couple then one of the crew took her camera and someone said, lets get mom and dad in there too.

We were back with them for about ten minutes. The whole band was very friendly and basically visited with us. They seemed in no hurry for us to leave. When we went out a long line was waiting to get autographs. The people in line started cheering for us and giving Courtney hi-5's. It was really something. - written by Jerry8
