Frederick says he's not very good in English but I doubt you'll have trouble understanding his answers.Pictured R: Frederick submitted the aerial photo of Montreal.
What drew you to Survivor, to purchase their music? Or which was the first Survivor song you ever heard?
Frederick: Well, here how it started. When I was young, I saw Rocky III and Rocky IV at TV. Some years later, when I was about 14 years old, I saw more than 20 times Rocky III & IV then I started to seek the soundtrack of these two movies. Then I got the "Rocky Story" with the two first songs: "Burning Heart" & "Eye Of The Tiger". I didn't cease to listen to them. Then I was seeking for albums of the group. That was in 1994 I think. I found in the a music shop in Montreal, the album Eye Of The Tiger. I was amazed by the vocal and the guitar on this album. The next year [1995], I had finally got the greatest hits. WOW! Immediately, it's love at the first string of Poor Man's Son & High On You. Then I was searching for the other albums. I found nothing! The salesman at the music shop told me that the albums were no more in production. I was so sad. Some years later, thanks to Internet, I finally collected all the albums of Survivor....
Which was the first song you heard?EYE OF THE TIGER OF COURSE! :)
Do you remember "the Year" that you became a fan?
Frederick: 1994 I think...Do you have all their albums? Which are your favorites?
Frederick: YEAH sure and more than 25 live shows and unreleased tracks...
My favorites: "Premonition" and "Fire Makes Steel" (Known as the Unreleased Tracks)If it's not too personal, can I ask your profession or occupation?
Frederick: I'm a student in a aerospace institute. I'll become an aerospace engineer.Do you have other fans/friends/co-workers in Montreal or Canada who you can discuss Survivor's music with?
Frederick: hehehe, sure! Eric Arbour is a good friend of mine. We like to listen & talk Survivor's music. We are guitar players. Sometimes we pay a tribute to Survivor by playing some of their songs including the "Fire Makes Steel" demo and the new song "Christmas Is Here."
