Rebbel stood with his shoulders held high in line with the other canidates at Aden Weyr. He tryed to make his small 5'8 frame look taller, more like his 15 turn age. Starena, the Weyrwoman came to him and smiled.
"Maybe this year Rebbel." She said, putting her hand on the boys shoulder. Rebbel had been a canidate twice and never chosen, not even by a green! He would love to get a green of course, or any dragon to share his life with. Starena dissmised the boys and they all ran back to their quarters.
Rebbel carefully cleaned the riding gear his father, R'nen, bought for him last turn. Amazingly they still fit his small frame.
He looked longingly out the small window above his bed out to the watchdragon. Sighing he saw his firelizard Tolla blink in from between. She had a message for him. It read:
You have been chosen as a canidate at SeaSparkle Weyr
Rebbel whooped with joy and ran to show his parents... Visit Aden Weyr
