Brother Velial, Supreme Chaplain of the Death Angels Chapter

    Brother Velial has served the Death Angels chapter for nearly 600 years. His prowess in combat is nigh-unmatchable, but his prowess in torture is even greater. Since the Death Angels' formation in 541.M41, he has collected seven black pearls on his rosarius, each signifying a Fallen Angel made to repent by his hand alone. He has captured all manner of Fallen, from a Tactical marine to a former Chapter Commander, who took nearly three months to be made to see the light of the Emperor again. His skill with the Blades of Agony is unsurpassable. He is said to rival Asmodai himself in his abilities.

    In combat, he is a fierce warrior, holding his ground against near-impossible odds. He makes extensive use of his crozius arcanum, using it not only to strike down the foes of the Emperor and the Lion, but as a personal symbol to lead his men with. In situations where even his crozius is not enough to slay an enemy, such as facing an Ork in Mega-Armour, he utilises The Gauntlet - an ancient device given to him during his ordainment as a Chaplain by the Ecclesiarchy of Terra. The Gauntlet is a power fist that is nearly three millenia old, kept in shape by Velial's personal Tech-Priests and the Techmarines assigned to the Chapter.

    Velial personally commands Strike Force 626, an elite group of Death Angels whose purpose is to infiltrate and capture Fallen.
