| ok I haven't updated you lot with news just basically because I'm lazy and the other reason the park hasn't had any news apart from the new hotel coming on nicely and "Team Extreme" that's about all that is happening oooh by the way there's still time to see them they are there till the 1st September |

| Ripsaw down |
| 06/06/02 Today ripsaw was down all day according to a ride mechanic it was a major part they needed so it would be outer operation all day and the pool at the front was drained so I aren't sure if it was the ride or the fountains hopefully Ripsaw will be back in operation soon |

| Hotel construction |
| 06/06/02 Today well down in forbidden valley I spotted a crane on the construction site of the new hotel I didn't have time to get down there or to get any photos but next time I go I will get some more information. |

| new spooks for Halloween |

Halloween is a big thing for the Tussauds parks that's why this year they have introduced something new...They have landed a deal with a New York based Sudden Impact! which is a group that are lending a hand for three temporary attractions over the Halloween days at Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Chessington World Of Adventures. Each attraction will have a hourly capacity of 750 people with intimate groups of 6 people entering the show areas at 33-second intervals. guests will be asked to put their hands on the shoulders of the person in front of them. Each of these attractions will have 16 actors and 4 "swings" which will be placed where the guests are least expecting them in other words they will be placed so that they scare the willies outer you. Thorpe Park :: "the freezer" The cold storage at Thorpe park has been abandoned ever since a technical fault was found and it sparked which was so bad it caused workers to fuse together. The frozen remains of the workers are left inside "the freezer" to test you nerves there will also be sounds and noises in the "chilling" maze which will distress and disorient guests :: Alton Towers :: "forbidden mansion" This will be set in the towers of Alton Towers it will be an interactive walk through around the towers the route will take about 5 minutes to get through and is set to feature flying buttresses, menacing gargoyles and pointed arches. All can be said so far is it will not be available for small children ::Chessington World Of Adventures:: I aren't 100% sure what's going on here yet but I think it will have something to do with an Egyptian theme. |

| Ice show for Alton Towers |
| 01/06/02 Because the contract with Beartrix Potter ran out Alton Towers have put on a new ice show and a new big top. The show is about ''A young computer genius falls into a computer generated web-world seeking the source of imagination. A wizard, the webmaster, befriends him and together they battle the virus that threatens to kill imagination and reduce the world to a dull automaton existence. '' The 20 minute shows have been running from today |

| Trouble on nemesis! |

Alton Towers confirmed The other day ( 5/30/2002 ) that a boy suffered lacerations to head after entering restricted area of Alton Towers' Nemesis, being struck by the train. The ride was emergency stopped as soon as the crew became aware of his entry to the area. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. Alton Towers did have a press release site but they have seemed to have taken it down the only reasons I can think of is that the boy is now fine and out of any risk it was just a one off occurrence... |
