Mark Knopfler
Mark Knopfler, guitaring legend from his days with soft rock act DIRE STRAITS. A real pro at slowhand
guitar playing. Now playing as a solo artist, Mark still tours, and last year finished the sailing
to philadelphia tour. I was able to go to one of these concerts because my mum's cousin is his wife!!
Lucky me got to go and meet him backstage in his dressing room, and i was the first person from
the whole NEC to go and meet him!! I got a Tshirt and a signed programme. It was a great night, and the
concert was fantastic. He played all the old hits like walk of life, calling elvis, and everyones fave
sultans of swing. It was a truly great night, and
and sailing to philadelphia is a brilliant album.
Everyone of course knows that Mark Uses that fantastic silver guitar, how much do i want it!!! And I was
absolubtely appalled to hear that Mark was voted in the top ten overrated guitarists!! NO WAY!! He
is a fantastic guitarist and deserves everything he gets (as long as its good!!) Mark rules!!
