Apathy

• Not really sure why I came here in the first place
• Maybe just to relive a memory with you
• But when I kissed you I was met with cold indifference
• I guess some things are just never meant to be
• -
• I've been living with the burden of a question
• Did you ever mean those things you said to me
• Do you care if I go on living a lie now
• Do you care if go on being blind
• -
• I'll never know why I loved you in the first place
• But now I'm certain that it's time for me to stop
• And no one knows where this road in life will take me
• But I'm certain that I'll go there alone
• -
• Then I turned and walked away
• And I struggled to hold back a tear
• All emotions were met with apathy
• And I'll remember til the day I die
