Can't Fix What Can Only Be Broken
Written by: Walus
- What a tangled web,
- We've woven ourselves into,
- This time around.
- How could we be so blind,
- Not to see eye to eye,
- And compromise wouldn't do.
- Staring at your floor,
- At the remanants of my convictions,
- I hold my ground.
- Only in hindsight,
- Can we truly see,
- Why I walked out on you.
- -
- bridge: I tried to write what I felt,
- By the light of the televsion,
- In hopes it would keep me from feeling alone.
- -
- Now it's 4 a.m.
- And because of my foolish pride,
- I sleep alone tonight.
- I know that I cannot fix,
- What can only be broken more,
- But still I must try.
