Storm Chasing
I have always wanted to be a storm chaser, one of those guys out in the field shooting video of tornadoes and thunderstorms...taking pictures, giving
warnings etc...Well one of the aspects of weather I am really interested in is
lightning. There are several types and formations of lightning, one of the
nature's most destructive forces. Click on the picture above to learn

Tornadoes
Tornadoes are something else I am really interested in. They are quick-strikers, and very deadly. The winds in a tornado average between 160 and 180 MPH while Hurricanes only average 110 to 130 MPH. Tornadoes are also almost impossible to predict; most storm chasers can only give warning as they literally are dropping from the sky. I have seen 3 tornadoes in my lifetime; one was in the air flying across the sky;
another (night) was hovering over the factory
adjacent to the front of my house, and i watched it for about 30 seconds; the other was on the ground, about 3 football fields distance from my spot site. It was a weak F1
