U.S. Cellular Field

New Comiskey Park/U.S. Cellular Field has been home to the Chicago White Sox since 1991.  It was recently host to the 2003 MLB All-Star Game on July 15th, in which the American League defeated the National League by a score of 7 to 6.  The White Sox were represented by three players on the American League AS Team: #30 Magglio Ordoñez(OF); #21 Estéban Loaiza(RHP); and #5 Carl Everett(OF).  Loaiza got the honor of being the AL's starting pitcher.





Rowand Shines In Sox Lose
Aaron Rowand shined in tonight's(August 13th) game against the Angels.  The final score was 2-1, but it could've been  4-1 without the brilliance of Aaron Rowand in center field.  In the third inning, he robbed a homerun and he also threw a man out at the plate.  He got a hit in the game, and scored later.  Aaron Rowand gets an A for effort in this one.  The Sox fall to 1 and ½ games back of the Royals.

August 13th, 2003
Sox lose to Angels 2-1. Tom Gordon gives up the game winning run in the 8th inning when Tim Salmon doubled to deep center field, scoring Alfredo Amezaga.  Aaron Rowand went 1 for 3, scored a run, and robbed a homerun in the 3rd inning.  He also threw out a man at home plate from center field in the 3rd.
