This Year Michael Angelo Batio and Deb Mikesch of Midwest Entertainers both received nominations for the 2004 WAMI Awards. The President of Midwest Entertainers, Deb Mikesch was nominated for Music Person of the Year as well as receiving a nomination for Industry Website of the Year for her agency website www.midwestentertainers.net. Deb is Michael's exclusive agent and does a fantastic job! Michael was nominated for Artist of the Year, Rock Group of the Year, and Guitarist of the Year. On Monday April 26th Michael Angelo Batio was chosen as "Guitarist of the Year" at the 2004 WAMI awards! Michael accepted the award, and said with his usual comical finesse the one word that summed it all up ......"Cool!"

A bit later on, Michael's performance was introduced by Bill Kopecky, a very talented bassist that Michael has worked with in the past.

The curtains opened to the awesome sound of Michael playing one neck cross-handed on the new Double Guitar. Eyes opened wider! Then he went to both necks at the same time and you could feel the buzz from the sold -out crowd! But when the man slowly turned the guitar upside down while continuing to play even more intensly you could look around the audience and see jaws dropping one by one.

After Michael ended the performance playing the double over his head the audience ROARED! It was spectacular!
