Triphonic Sound

Ill-fated attempt by Megaphone Records to compete with the quadrophonic craze of the 70s.

Tap's "Intravenus de Milo" was initally available in this format, which was previously used only for easy-listening orchestral LPs.

Eventually, the album was mixed into regular 2-channel stereo. Unfortunately, by then it was too late as most consumers had given up on the album.
