Read about how a fabulous weekend ended with the trip back home.

Monday May 13th

Leaving home ain’t easy... .

Because we had to leave the chalet before 10 am, and we were only picked up by 11, we had some time to drink coffee in the restaurant and so we did.

We saw slightly leaving the people and at 11 we went back to Liverpool.
We were dropped in the city center, for we had some hours spare before our plane should leave.
As this part of the trip did look like the conventional start 2 years ago in Liverpool I was supposed to know to find the locker for the luggage, just as 2 years ago. But blimey, the station looked so different, I couldn't get it, smaller, a shopping mall, are the scousies working that hard than??

Ah yes, of course, the large station is not central station but Lime Street station, about 400 meter away....
Off we were, with our luggage, passing the roads again.
THAT did make way more sense indeed!

"Whatever you do, do it with style"

On our trip we were told that the trip to the airport did last 30 minutes, from the bus-parking, so we find a bus stop, a time to leave and spent a happy (2) hours in Liverpool.
I went with Stephan to the record shops, while Bas joined the ladies to their doings, that way everyone has his or her own pleasures!

Having watched and bought nothing we went to the bus stop, after having picked up our luggage and happily did sit down in the bus....
What did drive through the city, lots of traffic...
And after half an hour it came at a huge bus stop, at the other side of Liverpool.. Obviously from there it should be 30 minues??
Checking time, hmmm, still in time, but not much spare...
Moods did get under pressure, we got more and more loud, but it was not that funny!
Finally we arrived at the airport, it was close to 4, plane supposed to leave at 4.15!!
Jaye could NOT leave Liverpool without having pictured the John Lennon statue, so there we went, Jaye and me, upwards for a quick picture, and downwards to the check in again.
There we were informed by Lisette (and the people of EasyJet) that the flight was delayed for 2 hours..

OH WELL!!!!!!

So, nothing else to do than waiting. Faces on heavy weather, uncomfortable moves.... We did drink the beers that we brought from Prestatyn, making jokes and way too much noise. I am pretty sure that if there was any wrong comment at that moment, that than I should have exploded... ,br> Luckily that did not happen, so no worries, no hurries. No hurries indeed, so we decided to take a fast meal, to fill the time and to be not without food too long when we finally should fly away.
Off we went, taking a plate of fast food. Dinner ready in 5 minutes sir. O well, no problem, plenty of time indeed, right?

A check at the board..
hey, it tells boarding, all the sudden? Aaargh, dinner is ready!

AAAARGH!!!!

So heck, eat, eat, fast, fast, food food (thank heaven it was not too much of a meal... and OFF WE WERE to the departure hall....

HEEEELP!!!! The flight is off the screen!!

Ain't we rushing headlong
Out of control
Rushing to the departure hall where a friendly lady told us that the plane soon should come in..
O, nice, to skip it from the screen already, but okay *sigh*.. in time, and finally rest.
NO WAY!
big scream.. small talking

. And there was Corrinne, an ex colleague of Lisette and me, waiting for their flight to Holland as well... What a small world, and what a lot of excitement this trip brought, from the first second of booking until the last step out of the plane!

What a cool bag that man is wearing!

I heared from many that this was the best convention ever, well, for me it was, from the 3, the most stunning and wonderful event ever happened (even better than my marriage *LOL*), apart from the Queen concerts I went to!

Some things are history making, some things are immortal.. This weekend, Queen etched a new picture in my soul And it could not have been done with the ones that do love Freddie so much.. Thank you so much my dear friends, for sharing
