Q. Is SubSonic Assault a Christian band?
A. That's a very valid question. We formed at a Christian college (two of the members are getting
a Pastoral Ministries degree), we listen to bands like Newsboys, DC Talk, Twothirtyeight, Five
Iron, etc. It would be very easy to classify as a "Christian" band.
But we are not. "Christian" is not a style of music we play, it's who we are. "Christian" is not
a genre, it's a faith... a lifestyle.
If you still have a problem fathoming the fact that we are not a "Christian" band, consider this:
The Christian Music Industry is suppose to reach out to those who do not believe in the Christian
faith, yet 75-90 per cent of the people who buy Christian music are Christians. Does it sound
like the Christian Music Industry is doing their job?
Yes, we are Christians. We strongly believe in Jesus Christ and want to share Him with you. But,
we are not going to shove it down your throat. If you don't want to hear it, we won't force you
too. We'll respect you as long as you respect us.
Q. Your song "Something So Right" sounds depressing. Care to explain?
A. "Something So Right" was written because I can not get a certain situation that happened to me
out of my head. When I was a Junior in High School (many years ago), I dated this girl that led me
into sin. It took a long time to get over her, and it took an even longer time to realize that
God still loves me and forgives me. Yet, it still hurts everyday to realize that I am that
vulnarable and that I can never go back and change the past. - Adam.
Q. Does Benji have a last name?
A. Maybe.
